Open Post-Doc Fellow Position at MPI für Kohlenforschung in the Department of Heterogeneous Catalysis and Sustainable Energy.

For the research group of PD Dr. Harun Tüysüz we are searching for a post-doc fellow (m/f/d) in the field of “Monitoring solid catalysts under operating conditions” in full time (39 hours). The position is available immediately and will remain open until it is filled.

Description of project:

The project deals with the design of carbon-based porous solid catalysts for CO/Cl2 conversion and their investigations through spectroscopic methods under operating conditions.The project is the part of industrial Carbon2Chem consortium.The post-doc fellow also is expected to implement electrochemical Raman microscopy to monitor alteration of water electrolysis catalysts to support other research activities of the research team.

Requirements

  A PhD Degree in Chemistry

  Experience with synthesis and characterization of solid catalysts

  Practical skills with operando techniques and continuous flow reactor systems

  Know-how, knowledge and experience with Raman microscopy

  Very good English language and communication skills
