Postdoctoral or visiting scholar Opportunity in Aging and Neuroepidemiology
The Aging and Neuroepidemiology group at the Michigan State University invites applications for a postdoc Research Associate position to work on multiple projects under the supervision of Dr. Honglei Chen. Dr. Chen’s research aims to understand the natural history and etiology of neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Parkinson’s and dementia) and related prodromal symptoms such as olfactory impairment and sleep disturbances.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on data from several large epidemiological studies (e.g., the Sister Study, Agricultural Health Study, Health ABC Study, & ARIC study) and to gain experience in study design, data collection, analyses, and publications. The position is for a minimum term of one-year with the expectation of renewal.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree (or be near completion) in epidemiology or a related field, or an M.D. plus epidemiology experience or training (e.g., M.P.H.). The successful candidate should be strong in epidemiological design and statistical analysis and should have excellent writing and communication skills.
