哥德堡大学（University of Gothenburg），是瑞典的一所世界一流综合性研究型大学，成立于1891年，坐落于瑞典第二大城市、北欧工业中心哥德堡，是中欧商校联盟成员，入选瑞日Mirai项目。
The University of Gothenburg tackles society’s challenges with diverse knowledge. Strong research and attractive study programmes attract scientists and students from around the world.
The Institute of Biomedicine is involved in both research and education. In both of these areas, we focus on fundamental knowledge of the living cell – what it consists of, how it works, how its function is directed by the genetic material, and how it interacts with various kinds of micro-organisms. Using this knowledge, we try to elucidate the causes of diseases, and find new ways to diagnose and treat them.
The Institute is composed of the following four departments:
The Department of Infectious Diseases
The Department of Microbiology and Immunology
The Department of Medical Biochemistry and Cell Biology
The Department of Laboratory Medicine
At present, the institute has about 360 employees and approximately 440 million SEK in total assets.
The candidate will work at the Sahlgrenska Center for Cancer Research, a center within the University of Gothenburg in close association with Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

Subject area description
This open postdoc position is contained within Associate Professor Anders Ståhlberg’s research group at Sahlgrenska Center Research for Cancer.
Our long-term goal is to enable early cancer detection and to personalize the treatment of each patient using liquid biopsies. This project aims to develop and use next generation cancer diagnostics by analyzing biomarkers in different liquid biopsies, especially blood.
