The University of Luxembourg is looking for its Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM), Department of Mathematics, 1 post-doc in Data Science.

Research in one or more of the following topics: statistical modelling, (interpretable) machine learning, sports analytics, analysis of (sports) medicine data
Research dissemination at international conferences
Teaching activity of 2-4 hours per week
Active participation in and support of the organization of the activities of the research group

What we expect from you…
PhD (not dating back more than 7 years) of high quality
Research experience in at least one of the following topics: computational statistics, machine learning, bioinformatics
Experience in programming languages
Autonomous worker with good organizational and analytic skills
Very good written and oral skills in English
Outstanding research conditions in an international and inspiring environment
Possibility to work in a vibrant inter-disciplinary environment with close contacts to researchers from other fields and industrial partners
Possibility to become a member of a young team of dedicated researchers
A competitive salary
Contract type: 24 months fixed-term contract
Work hours: Full time 40 hours / week
