Dr. Wang is an associate professor in the department of chemistry and physics at Mississippi state university and a faculty member of the NSF Center for Emergent Molecular Optoelectronics (CEMOs).
Dr. Wang received his PhD from the university of Georgia in 2016, under the tutoration of professor Bingqian Xu (one of the inventors of STM split-knot technology), a well-known molecular electronics scholar.
In 2017, he joined the research group of professor Pramod Reddy of the university of Michigan as a postdoctoral researcher (professor Reddy is the world’s leading scholar in the field of molecular heat transport and near-field thermal radiation, and has published 7 articles in the journal Nature and Science in the past five years).
Dr. Wang has published more than 30 papers in international SCI journals, including Science, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Chemistry, Nature Communications, JACS, Angew, Advanced Functional Materials, etc.
Dr. Wang’s work has been reported more than 100 times by media around the world, including Science Daily, YahooNews, NSF News, EurekAlert!, SinaTech, Phys.org, IEEE Spectrum, etc.
Dr. Wang has won the Mrs. Graduate Research Award – Silver Medal, the national outstanding overseas student Award, and the university of Georgia outstanding Research Award.
Main research directions:
Molecular scale quantum transport, molecular photoelectric materials and devices, molecular energy conversion and collection, chemical and biosensors, development and application of scanning probe technology, nano-optics.
